Blood Bound (An Unbound Novel)

Blood Bound (An Unbound Novel) - Rachel Vincent Okay, I really liked the premise of the story. It's certainly a breath of fresh air for the urban fantasy genre. That being said, I really can't imagine how Vincent was able to finish writing this story without going into depression. I'm willing to bet she did, because this book was saturated with bleakness. There wasn't a single moment of uninterrupted happiness - at all. Every time a scene even hinted toward a positive outcome, my optimistic mind took another hit. By the end of the book I wish I could take back all of the hour I spent reading it, because it certainly didn't entertain me. Vincent should have started the book with Dante's quote from the Divine Comedy: "Abandon all hope all ye who enter here."

Honestly, I need a few glasses of wine and marathon run of all of my favorite comedy flicks just to balance myself.
