Blood Rights
This book was right right up my alley. I had seen it on several Good Reads lists but hadn't ever looked into it until I read the sample chapter that was tagged onto the end of Gail Carriger's Timeless novel. Anyways, I ended up loving it. It wasn't predictable, yet it had my two favorite urban fantasy elements: a tough heroine, and a dark, troubled love interest.Kudos to the author for finding a way to reinvent the vampire world, rather than recycle it.
