One of my favorite female protagonists ever! Glory was the perfect balance of femininity and strength. She was tough enough to hold her own against the bad guy but she didn't turn into a dominatrix behind closed doors. Even after pretty traumatic events, she never threw herself a pity party or closed herself off emotionally. Sandlin also wrote an awesome male protagonist. He never tried to lie or hide himself from Glory and he never mistreated her either. I liked this book much more than I liked the first book by far. I can't wait to read about Will and Randa.
