"People say that life is the thing, but I prefer reading." - Logan Pearsall Smith.

Twenties Girl

Twenties Girl - Sophie Kinsella Apart from Kinsella's penchant of making her female protagonists pathological liars, she writes a decent story. I just cannot connect with, or even like, her main characters because they're always desperately insecure women who go to extreme lengths to mask their character flaws, physical imperfections, bad decisions, etc...

She's a good storyteller, but I loathe the formula she's developed for her leading ladies. So, someone let me know if she releases about a female with a backbone, who is a bit less materialistic, and has a scruple or two.
